Jasper on Zoom: Puligny vs Chassagne-Montrachet April 10th, 2020

Chassagne Puligny Montrachet 10 17

My first experience of this new (to me) format was a discussion of the differences between two of Burgundy’s emblematic appellations for white Burgundy: Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. Armed with a bottle of each, and fighting off the occasional technological challenge, we spent a happy hour talking over everything to do with white Burgundy, as seen through the lens of these two bottles. One from a new kid on the block, Domaine Thomas-Collardot’s Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Hameau de Blagny 2017, the other a firm favourite of mine: Benjamin Leroux’s 2010 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Tête du Clos. Fill your glass, sit back and enjoy!

This initiative was set up by the wonderful 67 Pall Mall Club, as part of an ongoing series: many thanks for a great idea!
