This branch of the Laroche family – no relation to Michel – can trace back its Chablis roots to 1780. Claude Laroche launched the Domaine de la Meulière in 1984, now run by his sons Nicolas and Vincent. They have 24ha in all, picked by hand, with vinification in stainless steel, or barrel for the Chablis vieilles vignes and Chablis les Larmes de l’Oubli. In all there are five separate cuvées of Chablis and three of 1er cru Mont de Milieu. The domaine is noted as being amongst the later harvesters.
