This domaine, originally established by Bernard Légland in 1979, was bought by Laurent and Marie-Noëlle Ternynck in 2013 to give them a foothold in Chablis, after they had already begun to make a name for themselves with the various Grand Auxerrois wines they had been producing for some years at the Domaine de Mauperthuis. As well as the listed wines, they also make some Grand Cru Valmur from purchased grapes. The Montmains is entirely from the Butteaux sector.
