The Tributs were not originally vignerons but Laurent worked a bit with René Dauvissat, his father-in-law, and then they started to inherit and to plant. He began to make his own wine from 1987 and established their current cellar in Poinchy in 1991. He has been joined by three of his four children, Solange, Adéline and Gabriel.

Broadly speaking, methods are similar to those chez Dauvissat, without the biodynamic approach but with hand picking throughout. There are usually two bottlings of each wine as cellar space is limited, so when the first bottling empties the barrels they can be refilled with the remaining wine of that appellation which has been waiting in tank.
