I came across the Fourrey wines as they were winning some good medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards which I was then judging. They have a bevy of 1ers crus and make also a little bit of grand cru Vaudésir, as well as an interesting patch of Bourgogne Pinot Noir. Jean-Luc Fourrey took charge in 1992, with the assistance of his sister Marie-José since 2004. The grapes are machine harvested and vinified and matured in stainless steel, with some competent results.
