Of various Gavignet domaines in Nuits-St-Georges, the one which has caught my eye is that of Philippe Gavignet, who joined his father Michel in 1979, took over in 1992 and has been joined in turn by his son Benoît and daughter Elodie.  Their 14 hectares are entirely within Nuits-St-Georges and they make supple, attractive, wines from destemmed fruit, offered at sensible prices.
