The Morey family might be considered the senior clan in Chassagne-Montrachet, whence they have also despatched a branch to Meursault (see Pierre Morey). The various members of the family whose names may be found on bottles are:

Previous generations:

Albert Morey, father of Bernard and Jean-Marc.

Bernard Morey, father of Vincent and Thomas.

Jean-Marc Morey, fully retired after the 2016 vintage, father of Caroline and Sylvain.

Marc Morey, father of Michel Morey-Coffinet and Marie-Joseph, married to Bernard Mollard, who took over Domaine Marc Morey, currently run by their daughter Sabine.

Michel Morey-Coffinet, established on his own account in 1992, father of Thibault.

The current generation:

Caroline Morey, daughter of Jean-Marc, married to Pierre-Yves Colin.

Sylvain Morey, son of Jean-Marc, brother of Caroline.

Thomas Morey, son of Bernard, established at his grandfather Albert’s address.

Thibault Morey-Coffinet, son of Michel Morey-Coffinet and now in charge of the domaine.

Vincent Morey, established with wife Sophie in his father (Bernard)’s winery.
